Did you know that grass stains on a carpet are extremely common? In most cases, they happen because your kid was playing outside in the mud and grass but in some cases, it’s because you were gardening. But how the grass stains happened isn’t important – the removal process is! And today, I am going to show you two methods you can use to remove those annoying stains off of your carpet in no time!
How To Remove Grass Stains From Your Carpet?
– The First Method:
For the first method, I have you need to mix a cup of cold water with a teaspoon of laundry detergent. Then dip a cloth or a towel in the mixture and start blotting the stain. But make sure you do not rub or wipe nor do you apply a lot of pressure.
Because the grass stain will transfer from the carpet to the towel/ cloth, you need to check from time to time to see exactly how much residue you have left on your carpet. Continue until the stain is removed completely!
– The Second Method:
The first thing you need to do for this method is to vacuum the affected area so you can remove as much of the grass as possible.
Then apply laundry detergent on the stain, place a cloth on top and apply a bit of pressure with your hand. Then remove the cloth, dip another clean one in water and start blotting.
Next, you need ammonia or an ammonia-based cleaner. Treat the stain with it then blot again with a clean damp cloth.
And the last step for this method – grab white vinegar, dampen a cloth with it, and blot the stained area.
Once you are ready and the stain is removed, rinse the area!
