I LOVE lemons. As a matter of fact, I am obsessed with them! I use them for different dishes, salads, etc. I also love cleaning with them since they are very powerful. I usually make an all-purpose cleaner using lemon juice since it’s a non-toxic and healthy alternative to commercial cleaners.
Recently I decided I want to make my own air freshener using lemons since I am not a huge fan of commercial air fresheners (I have a sensitive nose and my allergies go crazy when I use them in my home). However, I still want my house to smell amazing.
Here is how I did it!
I used two lemons, a cup of sea salt, tea tree essential oil, and lavender essential oil.
I also used a small knife, a spoon, and a small bowl!
Now, I started by cutting the two lemons in half and hollowed them. I used the small knife and the spoon to do that.
Then I added a cup of sea salt in a small bowl, poured 25 drops of the tea tree and lavender essential oil and mixed well.
I continued by pouring the mixture into the lemon rinds. If you want a stronger scent – feel free to add more essential oil – it’s up to you and your preferences!
Then I found a place to put my DIY air freshener. I have a little tip – find a sunny spot since the heat will diffuse the scent!
